A heartwarming work of literary altruism

Dave Eggers shares the wealth in San Francisco. Whatta writer, whatta guy ! [Thanks, MLY]

Oh my god, Dave Eggers is my hero! A friend of mine sent me AHWOSG this past June and it blew me away!

I am ashamed to admit that I've read only his shorter works and the stuff in McSweeney's, and AHWOSG is sitting in the to-read pile (at the top ! really !). O's read it though, so I can claim rectidude by association, right ?

Eggers is interesting. He's like some sugar-frosted bran cereal. Dada and intellectualism covering up a real sense of responsibility towards others.

On the other hand I hope his studio isn't turning out a gaggle of Eggers-apers. AHWOSG was quite good, but I hope nobody ever writes a book like that again, if that makes any sense.
