Science fact ?

In this Sunday's Times Book Review, reviewing The Golden Age by John C. Wright:
…Wright, who has apparently done time in an up-to-the-minute liberal arts graduate program, imagines what would happen if some of the more inane notions of postmodernism were empowered by technology. One ''thought virus'' for sale in Phaethon's world promises ''that the user . . . would enjoy all the sensations and experiences of genius-level artistic creation.'' To a user awash in ''endorphins, false memories and self-sustaining sophistries,'' everything he made or did ''would seem -- seem to himself -- to be a work of supreme magnificence.''
What ? You mean this hasn't been invented already ?

Anyway, this makes me want to get the book !

Well, it's not "Goo," that's for sure ! It's from Goodbye 20th Century, which is hit or miss but quite rewarding in places.
