Old Schwamb Mill back in action

Looks like this historic mill is safe for the immediate future. Definitely one of the cooler pieces of history in Arlington. And I think the house we used to live in was on the Schwamb property (orchards) back in the 1800s.

Hey, here in Arlington and Lexington, we've already got enough frickin' history (Arlington is the birthplace of Uncle Sam !), but the preservation of the mill and the fact that it is being used in a productive way are definitely good things. Sometimes I drive by on the way back from the pizza place. The other cool thing about small old mills is that they are usually in picturesque locations (by a stream) and tend to be oriented with the stream as opposed to any surrounding roads or other buildings; they tend to stand apart.
