Spring For Real

Wow, what a great day today – quite warm, the smell of flowers in the air, and I'm wearing shorts ! I also had a pleasant chat (over some beers) with sonofabish at one of the few watering holes that we have in this otherwise dry town. I hope the roast lamb & mint flavored crisps go down well !

While taking the kids to Penang in Harvard Square for dinner tonight, I bumped into an old pal from the Lotus Improv team; she made my day by saying I looked “world's best dad” or “Dad Of the Year” – now, was that just because of my darling son and daughter, or did my stylin' Coctails-as-zombies T-shirt give me that extra something ? S1 surprised us by chowing down on a lot of rice and noodles (mie siam ?). We popped over to Peet's, and I bumped into my ex-Improv buddy again, so I filled her in on who of the old gang I've seen lately. A lot of the old live in Arlington, as a matter of fact.

On the drive home, my eyes started to get a little itchy from all the pollen. I have never really had allergies that have caused me problems, but as I get older I start noticing pollen more and more.

Yesterday I talked to eight people at two firms for later-round job interviews. I was pretty beat by the end of it. I should be hearing about the final results of all this job-chasing by Wednesday. Here's hoping !

I just went outside to close a recalcitrant window, and heard the peepers peeping. They're a bit quiet right now but I'll bet they'll get louder as the warm nights accumulate.
