Hi !
Was your boyfriend working on one of those interactive installations that generates music in response to movement ? There's one at the top of stairs that also generates patterns on a large video screen.

Anyway, that oil machine makes me feel like I'm eavesdropping on some private ritual…

Re: Hi !
no, though i think that one of the things his group if working on is making some sort of environmental remixer that would respond to and try to remix the sounds around it. i think they want to try to make a walkman version of it as well. it was on display last summer (part of cyber arts) and the summer before, but i forget what it was part of then

right now he's doing a generative music project both on this own as well as with some friends.
it's pretty neat stuff though the technical aspect of it alludes me somewhat.

can i add you to my friendslist?

Re: Hi !
That is cool stuff – and I beleive you commented on one of my posts (about a year ago !) about seeing Keith Whitman use DSP/Max at the Milky Way. It would be great to make the technology more intuitive and moved out of the computer.

And yes, go right ahead !
