Male Objectification

It's a good thing I didn't see this when I was less secure in my masculinity:

This was in an old toy case at a children’s museum in Philadelphia. I'm not sure of the meaning of the small blue cross on “Bob’s” underwear; maybe in the early 60s such a state of undress was less risqué in a medical context. And here is a detail that defines his identity:

Notice how Bob has to pose in his skivvies while Suzette next to him (presumably) gets to wear an outfit !

Hmm
This will be a toughie. I suppose I could shrink down the "Bob" and make it as wide as his head, and put it on top. Flatten out the yellow background color and it should look slick. Or maybe just crop the head and the “11" Teen-Age Boy-Doll” would survive been narrowed down to 100 pixels or so.

I like your icon from that robot article, and how you can interpret it as a graph in time: “First, I was a toy robot, then a walking corpse, but now I'm much happier as an accurate humanoid !”

Ahh, this was on the next block, at the Please Touch Museum. We'll probably do the Frankin the next time we're in Philly.
