Yeah, I was thinking about them… they had an album called "What Time Is It ?" but I can remember the exact song where they asked that question…

That Vanity Fair song is the first 45rpm I ever bought. I was in the single-digits, age-wise. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Gee, with a name like Vanity Fair
I'd imagine a lot of "ba ba ba ba" backing vocals. Maybe a picture sleeve featuring the fresh-faced Youth of Today, too !

Re: Gee, with a name like Vanity Fair
Surely you remember it. It was very bouncy. There's a lot of organ. It actually sounds kind of Partridge-Familyish.

When it's early in the morning
Over by the window day is dawning
When I feel the air I feel that life is very good to me, you know
In the sun, there is so much yellow
Something in the early morning meadow
Tells me that today you're on your way and you'll be coming home, home to me

...it's got to be good !
[finally, my corrected response -- LJ was being stroppy last night...]

Hmm, I've checked out of clip of this song on their official website, but even though it sounds familiar I can't remember hearing it, specifically. "Hitching a Ride," on the other hand, I do remember !

Great Stuff – DOMO ARIGATO !
Hmm, "Nighttime is the Right Time" by CCR – is that the same one done by the J. Geils Band and the Strangeloves ?

If we're gonna bring in specific days and times we could also have:

"5:15," The Who
"Friday On My Mind" Easybeats
"Monday Monday" Mamas and the Papas
"In the Year 2525" Zagar & Evans
The first side of Days of Future Passed by the Moody Blues

etc. etc. !
