It's still snowing. Arlington didn't call a snow day, but I decided to work at home, which worked out well, since my office building didn't have power for most of the morning, but now that they've sent people home, the power there is on again !

It's treachorous out there, so be careful with the driving.

Also, I got a ticket to Deerhoof at the Middle East tomorrow night. Should be fun !

What's all that white stuff?
It snowed last year at Christmas... one day. Before that, the last sizeable snow here was 1974. Seriously. I have a picture to prove it. Of course, we get 1 snow flake/flurry and all hell breaks loose and we shut everything down.

The entire City of Houston would be completely closed down if we had snow like in that photo.

Funny, it wasn't really a "storm" here -- no wind at all, no white out, but people around here just kind of forgot how to drive in the snow and I heard there were a lot minor collisions. My office is about 18 miles from here, just far north enough the climate is like New Hampshire's, and they must have really got socked in comparison with us.

I haven't seen snow in person in 15 years. And you know what? I don't miss it in the slightest.

The only thing I do miss is the bad-weather-competency you got in MA. Out here if the roads are slightly damp people start driving like it's the apocalypse. Ugh.
