Wild, Wet, Weird, Windy

Disorientation galore, with Thanksgiving still a week away:
  1. Stepping out into a relative sauna (~65 F) in the late afternoon.
  2. Guys in the supermarket wearing shorts
  3. A pile of yellow copies of completed Stop & Shop Holiday Dinner Order Forms
  4. Getting sick of the XMas trappings already !
And the power just went out a few minutes ago, hooray ! The UPS is keeping the cable modem and router going; no answer on the NStar hotline (1-800-592-2000).

This weather was very bizarre. I was outside working and one minute it was damp and raw and about 50 degrees, then the sun popped out and it jumped about 15 degrees in about 10 minutes. It was nice though.

And we got it without any of those tornados that have hit from Iowa to Tennessee.

On the radar you could see a yellow-orange line moving southeast on the radar right at us, but yeah, it was no biggie, but still enough to bump something around here. In fact, the rain didn't even start until after we were in the dark.

We used to have power outages like this all the time around here, I hope they aren't coming back. I was researching backup sump pumps while the power was out !
