How is it possible for mold to grow in a drink with zero calories ?

Some species of mold is very weight conscious and avoids drinks that can add poundage to their moldy figure ;)

If you're talking about mold in a diet drink... it's eating the aspartame :)

Wow, I didn't think it would be possible to metabolize something with 0 zero calories, but then again, mold grows in all sorts of things....

BTW, I went to the McGovern school back when it was the "North School."

Technically, there can't be ZERO calories in something made with aspartame - the labels should say "really really close to zero". Aspartame is a protein. There are 4 calories in a gram of protein. Since aspartame is so incredibly sweet, only the tiniest amount is used, and the calorie count is *essentially* - but not exactly - zero.

I found your journal while browsing through the LJ school stuff. You graduated from high school the year I was born :)
