Loads of monochrome (and color) coolness at New Wave Photos. A massive collection, from the obscure (the Names) to the famous (U2). Some photos are in better shape and/or watermarked more than others, but this is an amazing trove by any discerning standard.

Sara Lee!
wow, what a great site, a trip to memory lane's moshpit.

There are bands there that I don't think ever played over here, like the Monochrome Set.

thanks for the tip.

Re: Sara Lee!
Isn't it a trip ? I've heard a lot of the bands on that site, but I never knew what the Pop Group, to take an example, actually looked like. Or David Thomas of Pere Ubu back in the day.

It's weird, I never thought I looked like Andy Partridge at all, but those photos show him with a lot of hair – on album covers, he always seemed to have it cut really short – and, actually, there might be a resemblance, slightly.

This is an amazing website.

Ellen Foley! I remember she was the original prosecutor on Night Court. She left after the first season to focus on her music career and was replaced with Markie Post. Didn't the Clash back her up on an album?

Those shots of Devo at (I'm guessing) a press conference are awesome. This us a great site. The Modettes! Josef K! Spizz Energi! A Certain Ratio! Delta 5! This guy shot every cool band I can think of.

Regarding XTC -- I think it would be cool to see some photos of the band when they were a glam group called Helium Kidz. But I don't know if anything has surfaced.
